Meet our newest members and welcome them to the Club!

Maricar Afurong is a Board Certified Registered Nurse.  Her interests include acting, film, TV, arts, painting, wildlife, animals, photography, yoga, fitness and nutrition.

 

 

 

Wendy Pylko has a BA Liberal Arts from Evergreen State College Masters of Music, and a degree in vocal performance from USC.   She is currently Adjunct Professor of Music and a Member of the Voice Faculty at Cal Poly Pomona University, with a background in classical voice performance and education.  Her passions include inclusive experiences in the arts and music for adults and children with autism (she has a 22-year-old daughter with autism), flower arranging and cooking.

Leilani Jones Wilmore is an Hawaiian-born actress who won the 1985 Tony Award for her performance on Broadway in the Hal Prince musical Grind, co-starring Ben Vereen.  She created the character of Chiffon in the original cast of Little Shop of Horrors and is featured on the Broadway cast albums of Little Shop and Grind.  Leilani has a BA in Music Theory and currently teaches private voice lessons.  She taught musical theater performance at the Idyllwild Arts Academy summer program for six years and she also works as a Voice Over artist for animation, video games and descriptive narration for the blind and low vision community.  Her interests are travel, crafts and – not surprisingly – Musical Theatre.

Andrea Grossman is the founder of Writers Bloc Presents, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the general public’s knowledge and awareness of contemporary writers and thinkers who have made a significant impact on the culture and literary landscape.  You can find out more about Writers Bloc Presents here.  Andrea’s interests and hobbies include literature, comedy and politics.
