“Where Do We Go From Here?” Let’s discuss!
Join our Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Study Group, presented by Cynthia Cannady and Michelle Kazadi
Study classes were the basis of the Ebell Club upon its founding 126 years ago. We are excited to present a 2021 virtual version of this tradition in honor of Black History Month as Cynthia Cannady brings her popular discussion series to the Ebell. Joined by Ms. Kazadi as co-host, the two will introduce the program with a recording of the stirring culmination of Dr. King’s famous address to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1967, Where Do We Go From Here?, then moderate an open discussion.
Ms. Cannady, a graduate of Harvard Law School and member of the Bars of the State of California and the District of Columbia, is in private practice. She serves on the Board of Black Women Lawyers Assn., Inc. of Los Angeles and the Pasadena Delta Foundation. She is the founder of the King Study Group dedicated to the works and ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Michelle Kazadi is a Certified Family Law Specialist in private practice in Marina del Rey and serves as President of the Black Women Lawyer’s Association, Inc., of Los Angeles. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law and Paralegal Studies at West Los Angeles College.
Our virtual Ebell programs are free, but donations are greatly appreciated and help the organization during these unprecedented times.
