The Ovarian Cancer Circle – Join Team Ebell!

The Ovarian Cancer Circle/Inspired by Robin Babbini annually observes
the importance of September as National Ovarian Cancer Awareness
Month.  In the face of the pandemic, The Circle is excited to present
TEAL THERE’S A CURE VIRTUAL 5K. Between September 29th – Oct 13th,
participants select one day and one race. Runners choose their own
virtual course: through a park, at the beach, down a woodsy trail, or
on their home treadmill. Runners can even track time and speed!

Form a team or join TEAM EBELL started by Ebell member Lizzie Blatt.
Runners, joggers, kids & walkers are all welcomed.

Participants register by simply going to The Circle’s website: www.theovariancancercircle.org/events

The Circle commits 100% of its fundraising to the G.O. Discovery Lab,
based on the UCLA campus, and directed by The Circle’s affiliate
gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh.  Ovarian cancer strikes
over 22,500 women every year. It has a recurrence rate in 80% of the
cases. Clinical trials are underway to find an urgently needed early
diagnostic screening test and better, more effective treatments.

Paulinda Babbini founded The Circle in memory of her daughter, Robin,
who was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer when a high school
senior and who died when only 20!  Grappling with such an enormous
loss, Paulinda courageously learned how to help others, dedicating
herself to teaching others about the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Today
The Circle’s ever-growing team of volunteers work year ‘round
educating women and girls of all ages about ovarian cancer and how to
be pro-active about their bodies and their health.
