Member Spotlight featuring Ruiyuan Meng

Member Spotlight: Ruiyuan Meng | May 19

Wednesday, May 19, 2021 — 3:00 pm

paintings by Ruiyuan MengRuiyuan loves sharing her experiences through painting, singing, poetry and world travel… and now a talk with us.

Growing up in northeastern China, she never dreamed her life after graduating from China Medical University and beginning a teaching career in 1988 would lead her to the United States. Since coming here to join her husband, they’ve lived in four states, from the East Coast to the Midwest, before landing in Los Angeles ten years ago with their two daughters.

Ruiyuan is now pursuing life as a creative soul, designing and dabbling in her favorite things. That often means a paintbrush in hand, turning a canvas into an astonishingly detailed dreamscape like her lavish painting of the Ebell garden. It debuted at the last member art exhibition and is now part of the club’s permanent art collection. Join us to see more of her art and creativity, and hear of her once and future dreams.
