Celebrating Black History Month with Robert Lee Watt | February 4

Robert Lee Watt was the first African-American French hornist hired by a major orchestra in the United States. In 1970 at the age of 22 he was hired by Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic to play Assistant Principal Horn where he remained for 37 years before retiring in 2008.

Join us as Mr. Watt speaks about his life and career. He will also bring a selection of French horns to demonstrate during his talk.
