Art Workshop: Pastel Drawing with Meredyth’s Mom | December 1

  • This event has passed.

Tuesday, December 1, 2020 — 1:00 pm

It doesn’t take expertise to draw great art with pastels.
Join us and see.

Let’s have some art fun together.

Long-time art teacher and accomplished artist Maxine Cohn, mother of our own staff Membership Director Meredyth Deighton, will show novices and experienced artists alike how to create vibrant flower art inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe masterpieces. Using chalk pastels on black paper, we will blend colors into larger-than-life flowers that bleed off the page, as do O’Keeffe’s signature blooms.

Maxine, who currently teaches virtual classes for an organization supporting those affected by the Parkland School shooting, assures us this will be a perfect calming activity for anxious times.
