Art Reception: Pastel at the Ebell | April 18

  • This event has passed.

Thursday, April 18, 2019 — 6:00 pm

The Pastel Society of Southern California (“PSSC”) was established in July 2009 and has since grown to include more than three hundred members. Based in Redondo Beach, the PSSC brings pastel enthusiasts together to enhance their skills through demonstrations, workshops, and critiques. The PSSC also seeks to promote pastel as a fine art medium by hosting one or more pastel-only exhibits per year. The Pastel at the Ebell show presents the work of multiple artists and is their first show of 2019.

The Juror for the show is Karen Margulis, a nationally recognized pastel artist and an acclaimed pastel instructor who hails from Marietta, Georgia. Karen’s pastel paintings are held in private and corporate collections around the world and she is represented by several galleries. Karen is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a member of excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society.
