On June 1st, Congressman Adam Schiff hosted a conversation with local arts and cultural leaders in his district, which includes The Ebell and all the museums in Miracle Mile as well as numerous small theatre groups. Congressman Schiff took the opportunity to meet local leaders in advance of the new Congressional district lines taking effect on January 1.
Over 100 arts and culture leaders enjoyed a reception in our Art Salon followed by a discussion of Arts & Culture in Los Angeles with Congressman Schiff and Ebell Executive Director Stacy Brightman. Schiff has a long history of involvement in the arts. During his four-year term in the California State Senate he served on the Joint Committee on the Arts. His district includes much of the entertainment industry, one of the largest job creators in the region. Schiff is currently serving his 11th term in the House of Representatives.
The event was hosted by the Congressman’s office and members of our board were invited to attend.
