Ebell/Flint Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Ebell/Flint Scholarship Terms and Conditions

All Ebell Scholars have excellent academic records, demonstrated financial need and strong personal characters as defined by their commitment to community and their leadership ability. The definition of leadership and community is different for each student. It may be related to a student’s school community, city community, religious community or to their family, which may require extraordinary support of one kind or another from the student. Because we consider the scholarships our gift to the community, we choose scholarship recipients who share our feeling of responsibility for the communities in which we all live.

Currently the Ebell Scholarship award for students at two-year schools, such as community colleges, is $3,000 per year and the award for students at 4-year colleges and universities is $5,000 annually. Awards are issued in two disbursements each academic year: the first one in the fall at our Scholars Awards Night and the second disbursement in the spring at our Scholars Breakfast. A student can receive an Ebell Scholarship award for a maximum of 3 years or until the student attains a Bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first, as long as the student continues to maintain her or his eligibility.
